Heather Cox is an artist who lives and works in New York City. She received her early training in book arts and photography at Mills College. She went on to study sculpture at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture and received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She currently works at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Heather’s artwork is quirky and seductive. It is often characterized by precisely crafted objects that involve repetition and shifting scale. She employs a variety of materials in her projects to address issues of visibility, discovery and metamorphosis.
